Reno tips for Carpeting, Tiling and Painting for IP in SE Brisbane

Hey guys,

I'm trying to organise some carpeting and tiling for a reno in Cornubia, in SE Brisbane.
And I wanted to get some tips from you experienced renovation people:

• Do any of you know any reliable and well-priced places for Carpets and Tiles?

• And any tilers you could recommend who do a good job and don't overcharge?

• Venetian blinds:  should I just go to Spotlight, or some other place (I've heard the fake wooden venetians are good)?

• And what should I expect to pay for internal painting of a 3×1 average sized house?
