We are building a house in Tassy (we're renting in WA) with the intention of it being our home, but due to work commitments are unable to move as soon as we'd like.  We are going to rent it out without living in it first, until we are able to transfer over there.  Can we still claim this as our PPoR?  We don't have any other property but are looking at buying an investment unit shortly.
    Thanks!

Try a search for this on the forum. I know it has been asked before and there is a link to the ATO that would prove helpful. Alternatively, look up the ATO website.

    Goodluck withthe move
