    Hi all,

    I'm thinking about investing in Mackay, QLD. Possibly a 2/3 bed house with land or a unit/apartment under $400k. Any thoughts or experience in this area? Have I missed the boom? It seems there is still interest in Mackay, I just noticed a Cameron Bird ad but that may indicate the boom is over.

    Mackay is over priced, I have  2 remaining IPs in Mackay and getting out but I purchased years ago when prices were at a reasonable rate.
    I'd wait until the silly season is over, or look in other areas north .

    Look at Rockhampton. Prices more reasonable with good growth expected. Feature article on Rocky in this months Queensland Property Investor Magazine "Rocky Takes Centre Stage"
