i can borrow up to 270k max if i can save up to 27k in deposit for a IP, i have 17k in savings and i can get the extra 10k in no time if i know where abouts in melbourne for a good start off.
Why Melbourne. Why not look in one of Victoria's great regional cities?
You will get a much better yield, about the same CG and just as easy to rent out.

I'm in a similar boat, need to get an IP but which regional city is good value with decent yields?
