    Hi all,
Does anyone have recommendations for BOOKS or Web articles, that describe how to think about personal financial planning?

And can I ask one more dumb question?
Are Mortgage brokers/Accountants the best kind of people for such advice?

My own anecdotal history is that I have not met personally any helpful financial planners. I have found my own accountant to be trying to push me into shares all the time, but I have told him I do not understand the share market. But are "property" accountants any better at drawing up a model such as using LOC to live off and setting up companies/trusts/super funds etc to minimise tax as well as minimise risk.

Just trying to work out some of this "investment strategy" thinking which is giving me a BIG headspin at present, but I can see that perseverance will lead to financial independence.
Thx in advance for any input,
    Thx,
    JB

It will be very hard to find someone as you may need several professionals. The best way is to start researching things yourself while using the best people you can find and learn as you go.

There is a good general book on financial planning called "DIY Financial Planning" but no book is going to have all the good stuff in it as things are changing so rapidly and authors seem to be pretty conservative. The forums are the best place to learn I think.
