    Hi all,

A quick question to put out there….

I have a 3 bedroom unit.  I was reviewing my Landlords insurance policy today and saw that I am only insured for just over $20K.  Is this enough??????  It seems low.

I have been told in the past that the strata insurance would cover everything except carpet, paint, tiles, appliances, loss of rent.  Is this the case?  If I had a fire would the above be my only expenses?

Does the strata insurance cover kitchen cabinetry and items such as the toilet, bath, taps…

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Simon.

Contact your strata manager – they will advise what is covered on the policy and what the exclusions are. If necessary, they will provide a copy of the policy so that you can get your insurers to cover the excusions.
