Hi,

Thanks in advance, much appreciated:)JML
An accountant with experience in property is a very important member of your "wealth team". I suggest contacting Chan & Naylor in Sydney. They have 3 offices in Sydney so choose the one most convenient to you.
From humble beginnings they have expanded nationally. Last year they debuted in BRW's Top 100 accounting firms at No. 59 and was voted the No.1 fastest growing firm in the nation. This was particularly due to their focus on property related matters. They have an efficient team of well trained acountants in each office.
Ed Chan has co-authored a number of books on tax, superannuation and wealth creation and is an active investor himself. You should read How to achieve Wealth for Life through Property Investing. It is available from their website. They have developed a unique property ownership structure that you should check out. It addresses such issues as asset protection, estate planning and tax minimisation and is totally legal.

I use Bob Stevens from Stevens & Stendall in campbelltown. Although it takes me about 40 mins to drive to campbeltown its well worth it.Compared to my 2 previous accountants, Bob's a wealth of knowledge and invests himslef.
I am not sure if you have found a good Accountant but I recommend Adam Saunders who is based in Kogarah and so does not charge CBD hourly rates. His number is 0412 728 623 or email him at [email protected] – tell him Donal sent you. Good luck
burnt by accountants and property developersParticipant@burnt-by-accountants-and-property-developersJoin Date: 2010Post Count: 2My recommendation: Stay away from Chan – Naylor. An accountant now in their Norwest office lost all of my investment. I won a court case against the "company" he operated (and hides behind) over 3 years ago and still have not received a cent from him. At the date of writing this post, an ongoing investigation into his dealings for over 2 years has been frustrated by his delays in responding to questions. Ask yourself this question, what sort of accountant is unable to provide accounts of his dealings? This is a person Chan and Naylor have recruited, so I question the level of competence of that company.
