    Hi

I am in need of an accountant to basically set up tax reductions on my monthly salary and such.

As this is my first time getting an accoutant to do anything, I am curious to know what is a rough price range I should be looking at for a decent accountant in Sydney?

Don't want to get ripped off.  Just looking at ballpark figures .. few hundred? thousands?

    Cheers

    Eric

    Hi Eric

Accountants charge by the hour. Inner city firms can charge up to $400 an hour if you want to speak to a Partner (sometime more) or from $250 to $350 to speak to a manager. If your query is not overly complicated I would suggest talking to a manager. There are also suburban accountants that are in a cheaper range (as they don't have all the overheads). You just have to be careful to make sure they have enough staff and experience to help you out.
