    Hi all,

im looking at renovating an old house which has some old doors with glass inserts that are non-safety glass. Some of these are etched and nice and i dont want to replace the glass.

Ive heard of an adhesive film that is applied to make the glass "safe" or maybe "safer" would be a better term. Is there such a thing? Is it any good? And who stocks/supplies it???

Would it also help with security? Like if someone tries to smash the window will it tend to hold together better than safety glass which just goes to crumble?

    Cheers for any responses :)

    http://www.3m.com/intl/au/windowfilms/products_scotchshield_safety.html
Send them an email asking for the nearest installer of the product as 3m do not install the safety film.
this film also protects against explosions.

You can never neglect safety from un-planned explosions from leaking gas, car crashes, acts of war or terrorism.
