This IP is one of 9 in a small block . The guy on the top floor has taken it upon himself to demolish a solid brick wall that divides the kitchen and the lounge, put in a new front door (ebony in colour – the rest are tan), and knock out his bathroom window and replace that with a floor to ceiling one. This matter has been to OFT but he only agrees to have some stuff remedied if he's allowed to keep his beloved window. We're worried that we'll set a dodgy precedent if this is allowed. Are we being realistic in our expectations to win this and is it true that the CCT has the last word on the matter?
I am suprised the OFT had anything to do with t is certainly a BC matter.
Dependant on which State you are in will determine the higher authority but certainly you are not allowed to make any alterations like that without BC approval and possibly Building Approval again depending on the State and the Local Authority requirements.
