I am wondering if some of the property investment haters on this site could give us some insight to what they think are good picks for the next 6/12 months …

    Yes I thought so …

Why is it that all financial planners and share brokers who don't like property investing never give predictions on stocks and shares???? … come on you must be braver than that or is the saying true

The definition of an economist and financial adviser is a person who reads the past and not the future …

I think you worded your question wrong,…

I don't think there is any property haters on this site,…. If they were property haters they wouldn't be here.

I love the stock market and the property market which is why I can't believe some people put all there focus into one asset class true investor's invest in a range of investments.

As for picking particle stocks,… there are many factors just like property investing,… some one could quote a fantastic company with great earnings potensial and growth and by xmas it could be worth 10% less than it is today,… does it mean its a bad company,… of coarse not just means it's a good time to buy.

I rarely give stock predictions because of the number of factors involved and people who ask for stock tips are generally uneducated and won't understand if the company you suggest goes down in the short term.

Any way here I go,……. My pick is a company called,.. Agri energy (asx code AAE ). 26cents at the moment I think it should be above 50 cents by xmas.

But please don't anybody by this stock on my thoughts alone.

    Hey Wealth4life,

I'm not a property hater but like to invest in shares (as well as property).   Berkshire Hathaway have shown consistent growth 20%+) for the last 15+ years, I think they are a safe bet.  They do come at a cost though, about $4,000US for a class B share or $115,000 US for the class A share (30 times the value of the B share).

Become an international investor through Commsec and snap up a couple of these shares…

In regard to the local market, Industrea Limited could be a pretty good buy.  They just released their end of year results and have shown 800% growth and have introduced a dividend.   They have also shown a positive cash flow for the first time ever.

Just my input on the matter :o)

I do live the spec end of the market, especially oilers.

Cityview is my best hold (CVI). To cut a long story short, CVI is valued at $40mill…on a par with oil exploration companies.

The real kcker is that CVI have inherited land which Gulf USA drilled in the 80's (20%)…with a PROVEN 60MMBLS +gas+ probability to increase resource.

Valued as and exploration company with…proven reserves,…no brainer.

Which saying? The saying that property stands alone in that advisors can issue ill-fitting, ill-considered, innaccurate, misleading, unqualified, disclosure-free ramping or self-serving advice without fear of recourse from regulators or customers?

There's the answer to your question right there. Yes, that saying is true.
