    hi guys and girls

just wondering, if i buy a laptop b4 the end of the financial year for my property investing purposes can i claim it back on tax? And if so how much can you claim?

also, anyone know any gun accountants in the perth area who dont charge you for advice and are a wiz with property investors needs and aspirations in regards to claiming as much as possible.

    Thanks guys

yes, i am not an accountant, but i do know you can.  I asked my accoutant the same thing:
Yeah I guess you can claim the new Computer as a deduction if you use it for work related purposes (although you are meant to pro rata for private use…if any).  Claim it over 4 years, 37.5% Diminishing Value or 25% Prime Cost (Straight Line).
    Hope this helps.
