    Hi All,

Just wondering if i got an off the plan aparment put deposit down etc. (off the plan wont settle for two years) and in the mean time went in with my folks in a house and renovated it &  lived in it etc for 6 months. then sold it in 1 – 2 years. would i still b ok for FHOG? or because i purcahsed the OTP apartment would I have to wait until I move in to that and live their for 6 months before getting the grant.

    Would greatly apprecicate any advice.

    Regards,

    Joel

You can buy an IP without jeopardising your FHOG entitlement.

    So you should be fine.

But double check it.  My website has links to each state's legislation.

A lot of well meaning people still believe that buying an IP means no FHOG ever – that is just wrong now.

    Cheers,
