Hi, another newbie to the Forum.
Looking at purchasing our first PPOR and I.P which is old weatherboard home on large corner block. Our intention is to subdivide property, repair residence and later build on new subdivision. However, the residence is in very poor condition and the renovation costs I predict could blow out from $50,000 to $100,000.
My question is, has anyone recently undertaken such events and how did you forecast and budget such for large renovations? Is there any information or guidelines available which allows you to reasonably predict the costs of re-stumping, plumbing, re-roofing and re-wiring to mention a few?
