Does anyone have any experience investing in very foreign countries. I am looking at some deals in the United states that appear very very good compared to our current market and I am kind of wondering what the catch is…

Are there any special things to be aware of in the USA such as exorbatent taxes or Stamp Duties?

Any info would be appreciated, or even a point in the right direction to find out this info.

    Thanks in advance,

It is probably not worth it if you are going to do one or two properties. There is a lot to learn with the different markets, laws, proceedures etc, and it can be costly getting small amounts of money back to Australia.

I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are familiar with the country and the area you are investing in.
