    HI all,
Just like to introduce myself, Jason from SA, 25 years old and interested in investing.
Living with my partner, we are just looking at this stage into realestate for our first house (maybe still a year away or so – maybe two)

I have a company I am interested in investing into and wanted to know of any brokers who to contact to put 2K towards? Im fairly new to the share market also so your guidance and recommendations will be much appreciated. I plan of being a *sponge* over the next few months on here, so if there are any websites or anything people think I should read I would be more than pleased.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

Are you saying you have $2000 which you wish to invest into shares? If so, you will need to speak to a stock broker. I don’t think there are any hanging around this forum as it is mainly property here.

If you know which stck you wish to buy then the cheapest way to buy is by opening an account with an online broker. Comsec and etrade are both popular.

Your bank may offer this service and this is a good option as you can link it to your account. I use NAB online broking service for this reason.

If you are internet savvy enough to post here then buying shares online will be easy enough.

Ok so am I reading this right.. Just cutting and pasting from http://www.comsec.com.au the costs involved for buying and selling would be $29.95 for shares worth 2K?
    Share trades Internet Preferred – $29.95 (up to $25,000) 0.12% (above $25,000)

I got this from here: https://www.comsec.com.au/Public/WhatItCosts.aspx
Sorry for the difficult questions, i’m new here :)

    Sounds about right.

We can probably cope with more difficult than that [biggrin]
