Builder is keen to build his display home on our land because of its location in new res estate with a 2 year lease after completion.
We would then move in for 12 months min to revert it to PPOR. Then may sell CGTax-free.
What would be the tax status of the project, including aquiring the land through to building completion, if the primary purpose was to lease the display home to the builder? Becoming our PPOR would be a secondary benifit.
And taking it further, what would be written into any agreement? eg Lease payments to landowner during building? Building progress payments to builder? Keen to think outside the square on this one.
