All Topics / Help Needed! / Investment group in Brisbane?
Im not sure if this is the most appropriate place for this thread but if not I guess it will get moved…..
Hi,
I would love to know if anyone is aware of any investment groups here is Brisbane. As a newly single lady, I really want to get my portfolio a jump start but would like to be able to make some new pals with similar interests. My current circle of buddies are not at all interested in investing of IP’s which means that anytime I talk about property you can pretty much be assured that they zone out .
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be greatly pleased.
Oh and please no hardsell groups or dodgy deals – I’ll run a mile!

K-girlCan’t sleep, all I think about is property!
I don’t know of any clubs but if you live anywhere near Sandgate, I’d be delighted to catch up and talk property.
Hi K-girl,
We have a group here in Brissie, our next meeting is on 29 Oct at the UQ St Lucia campus. We basically do research and discuss property topics such as strategies, finance, locations etc.
There is no hard sell, just a group of people who are passionate about property. I’m exactly like you, my friends are not interested in property and it’s frustrating not having anyone to chat to!
PM me if you’re interested for more details.[specool]

isoldmarsden.com.auHi all,
I too am a brisbanite who is getting serious in real estate. I just signed up the other day for the specific reason of finding like minded individuals.
I just recently attended a success in business conference where they said you should associate yourself with like minded people to get in the right mindset and move forward, plus its also good for getting knowledge and experience without all the heartbreak.
I would very much like to get to know anyone in brisbane who is also passionate about investing. Most my firends and family just don’t get it and don’t want to hear about it.
Cheers
TomAhhhh this is where all the Investment Nerds Hang OUT…. he he
I’m in the same boat. I move to Brisbane in about seven weeks. I’m a beginner and also need a jumpstart and some guidance for my investment portfolio. I don’t know if this is what your looking for but there is business group called Destiny http://www.destiny.net.au that help manage and build your portfolio at a price. I haven’t looked in to it to much but i think there main focus is positive geared properties. There closest branch is on the gold coast.. ok nope they also have a branch in Clayfield brisbane.
Thanks

How are you? We might be able to start a Brisbane Investment Group? Do shares, property etc?
How would that work? Could we do that?
Rockhampton is still powering on I hear.

Hi,
My wife and I live in Northlakes and would be interested in attending a group meet. Is there some way we can conduct a poll on who would like to attend and where? Maybe if someone suggests a time and location we could organise something. Sounds like there is a lot of interest in getting a group started. I would be happy to assist where I can. I am pretty sure there is a community centre here in Northlakes that we could book etc.
Cheers
BenI live in the city and am very interested in any existing or potential groups/gatherings. I haven’t much to contribute at the moment but I’ll have heaps of questions
I am happy to attend a lot of small group or 1 on 1 meetings if people want. Often easier to organise.
Let me know if you need me there.
Cheers

Thanks Richard. What I may do is look for a good location between here (Mango Hill) and the city for a group to meet. I will post a time and date and see what RSVP we get and go from there.
Will see what I can organise. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to email me direct or post your comments here.
Cheers
Ben
