All Topics / Heads Up! / $880m Burpengary MARINA Project
A head’s up on a proposal which has been widely reported in the local media as the most significant development on the cards in Queensland.
The development of around 760 hectares of land bordering the Caboolture River to the south is under consideration by the Coordinator-General’s Department.
It’s also reported that developer Northeast Business Park Pty Ltd is a consortium with the major shareholder being Port Binnli who was behind the development of Raby Bay and has current projects at Mackay and Airlie Breach.
The proposal is said to include a complexity of mixed uses including industrial, business, golf course, mixed density residential, recreational and a MARINA.
The proposal is branded significant as there would appear to be a predicted shortfall of land for business and industry in the area over the next 20 years.
Given the progress of the proposal to date without the usual noise (objections) it appears to be a real goer.
With bias’s well and truly declared, this development is set to put Burpengary on the map and represents possibly the most significant upcoming project on the eastern seaboard of Australia. And you heard about it hear first!
