Just curious how many of us run own business and how many got the job?
What is your business or profession?
How many have few businesses? How do you cope with this?
Between my and my bf we run a painting business, a video internet advertisement and communication business, I have full time job with unlimited hours (but I’m going on part time in September) and I’m doing some art.
What do you do?
Cheers,

Development assessment…
I see why you are in this forum…There’s not much fun with ticking the boxes for the development assessment (my current job is the Urban Designer / Architect )
But it’s a greatest skill ever – hope you are taking a god use of it!!!
Cheers,
Our businesses are:
A wholesale property business/buyer’s agency: This is where we pick up wholesale properties by offering quick settlements or doing JVs with people wanting to develop their properties but don’t know how to. We buy most of what we find! (1 or 2 per month)
This business is called Creative Real Estate Solutions and is run soley by my husband.
We also have a property management company where we manage investment properties and set up lease options or multiple tenancy accomodations for investors.
This business is called AdProp and ran by myself and business partner.
We manage and develop all our own properties
We have 2 kids aged 2 and 4
No time for a job!!!

I’m also a salsa dancer (hence my forum name) & moderate/participate on a couple of dance forums.
On top of that, I have a business designing patchwork quilt patterns & offering tuitions [upsidedown].

development assessment – ticking boxes would be great but I spend most of my time trying adjust the box to be ticked because the applicant is:
a) unable to write
b) unable to read
c) unable to do either
d) weathy and arrogant and does believe in rules unless it is the development next door that want stopped
e) unable to consider the importance of maintaining or improving the environmentThe rest of my time is dealing with objectors and their special circumstance
Then there are the non stop calls from applicants whose clients want approval yesterday because the concreter is turning up 7am this morning.
Tick the boxes….I wish!
