    Hi,

I have to say sorry in advance as this is not so much about property investing but hopefully someone will have the knowledge and be kind enough to answer my question.

If you were to stay in hotel away from home while working, and pay out of your own pocket, would this be tax deductable?

    now,

If you where to rent a flat for a week away from your primary residence while working, and pay out of your own pocket, would this be tax deductable?

    now,

If you were to rent a flat on a permanent basis away from your primary residence so you could be close to work during the week, would this be tax deductable?

I have searched the internet for hours and have been able to find no help, so hopefully someone here will have an idea. thanks.

I know someone doing this. His accountant said it’s fine.
