Hi everyone,
How much value do you guys see in using a property-investing financial adviser/planner (eg Destiny Financials etc)?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Jeremy
I went to the one in Clayfielf (Brisbane) a few years ago and was told that one IP per year is unrealistic.
Have not been back.

[email protected]Cata, its a shame that o many so called professionals give biased (or who pays the paycheck) kind of advice to starters interested in investing. Sadly too many get discouraged from their first experience and their hopes dwindle as the mounting frowns from those they approach weigh them down.
Nice to see you saw yourself past the guff and moved on to greener pastures.
We once had a bank manager frown at us wanting to release $210k equity from several properties to buy more. He, needless to say, missed out on the reschuffle, as well as the 6 new IP’s we bought in that hit.
We ended up in getting bank B to release the funds and lender R to take on the new 6.
Keep smiling and happy hunting to all.

[email protected]Hi Jeremey
From memory the franchisor of Destiny is Margaret Lomas. And it is my understanding the franchise model is a that of a mentoring role wrapped around property as the vehicle to financal freedom.
What I do know is some people can do it on their own to start with and some need a guiding hand to kick start things. Over time they either continue with the relationship or at some stage (once they feel confident enough) they let go and strike out on their own.
Depending on where you are at (financial experience wise) it could be worth your time and then you can make an informed decision.
Good luck
Regards
Tony
