Just curious,
How many people would turn up if I organised a meeting to discuss investing and related topics?
Somewhere on the northside, please post where you are comming from so we can get somewhere central.

Just looking to break into the market at the moment, after coming out of University. Spend hours each week researching properties and learning the details of property. Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated

One thing I’ve learnt is that the more investment meetings you attend, the more chat rooms you use and the more fellow investors you surround yourself with, etc. The more knowledgable you become.
You can succeed or become an expert at almost anything simply by ’emersing yourself in the world’.
Computer nerds are good because they talk to other computer guys and attend computer conferences, etc in regards to their field. Carpenters are good because their surrounded by other tradesmen and its the one thing they all have in common to talk about. But if either one stopped, their knowledge would quickly dwindle or become outdated.
Anyone looking at investing, I HIGHLY recommend you go to every free meeting you can attend and spend as much time as you can in sites like this. You’ll pick up tid bits all the time, refresh existing knowledge or gain new knowledge. The rules are changing all the time and you need to stick with it to keep up.

I too would be interested in attending a meeting.
Done the research and readings and now ready to hit the pavement. Any info from experienced investors would be welcomed.
Coming from southside.
Cheers,
Robyn
Sounds like a good idea.
I’ ll be in it.
Yes I’ll be there. Plus drag along a mate who is also an investor.
I keep meaning to get along to the salisbury meeting but tis way down south and Im at Sandgate.
I have been in contact with a summersoft member who has been organising a meeting also, so I thaught we could combine the meetings.
Im suggesting the Breakfast Creek Hotel, which will hopefully suit most people. Im looking at August 2nd, which is a wednesday night, at 7:30pm? This should give everyone sufficient time to schedule this in.
Could I get a show of hands as to who can make it. Ill need definite numbers so that I can organise finger food. Either that or everyone can just grab some dinner there on the night.
Let me know.

[email protected]Cata,
Count me in at this stage – I’ll just confirm with my wife, but we’re certainly keen.
Tue nights are no good for us, so I’m thrilled that you’ve chosen a Wed! Thankyou.
As for finger food – I wouldn’t bother getting too involved in organising too much. We can all just show up, order our own dinner or snacks or drinks, and then sit down and chat. So I think the only real requirement is to book a table (maybe 15 or so seats???).
Hopefully we’ll see you all there!
Cheers,
Adam

[email protected]Hi Cata
Thanks for organising this. Count me in and I’ll see if my partner in crime will be available.
My thoughts are the same as Adam when it comes to the food. Thanks for the thought on the finger food but I think most people would organise themselves whether before hand or at Breaky Creek.
Looking forward to a great evening.[thumbsupanim]

[email protected]Set the time and place and the people will come. Few at first but many more will follow as agendas and results are posted to this site together with future meeting times.
Just get the ball rolling with the first meeting and It’ll have a snowball affect.

Hello all,
I think this is a fantastic idea. My partner and I are based in Brisbane. We have one investment property and are interested in getting more into the game. It would be great to talk to other like minded people. August 2nd 7.30 at breakfast creek was published. Is that the go?
Cheers,
[email protected]If my roster permits. I will be there.
