Developing property in South Australia

I am going to subdivide and develop a block of land in Adelaide south australia 9kms from the city. I am just going to build simple three bedroom two bathroom homes which is common for that area. Was just wondering if anyone has done a similar sort of development, What sort of costs were involved , what sort of profits were made and what the tax man took? Any other advice on this topic would greatly be appreciated…
