Where in the States have you taken the plunge & bought your investment property?
I have read on the forum Buffalo, San Antonio, Houston & Dallas but has anyone ventured further?

What about Alberta, Canada, where the oil and tar sands are.
Places are BOOMing there. Seems like mining towns are going crazy lately…Must be the China syndrome.
What do others think?

Purchased a 4 bedroom house in San Juan Capistrano in Calif in 1985 because my Auntie lived next door.
Paid $89000 USD for the property because it was on the hill over looking the Ocean. Must admit the best long term investment i have ever had.
She still lives next door and the rent and the capital growth have been absolutely outstanding. Can’t see me ever selling it.

Hi Guys
i’ve got properties and land in Texas, properties in New York state and about to get my first one in Nashville (doing aflip), Luke i’ll let you know how it goes. I arrived in Nashville in April the day a huge strom went through cousing Tornado’s (sorry thats another story) anyway i like Nashville it has tremendous opportunity (but i still don’t think it can beat Texas).

Solomon,
Texas is one of the hottest markets in the US right now so capitalising on that market makes sense for me at this point in time.Always of interest in hearing everyones experiences on other markets though.
There is a new market South of Texas that my partners in the US are establishing at that moment though which they will be showing us as part of our tour in July so I am looking forward to seeing the opportunities that it presents.

yes i caught up with Lisa and was impressed with Nashville. Lisa has some good opportunities in front of her , i am doing a deal with her now (my own deal), will let you know how it goes. At this stage i want to work Nashville as a flip, But i think things work equally well as a buy and hold.

I have invested in Texas San Antonio. I purchased two properties from Gr8realestateinvestments, I am happy with the service, both properties had good equity and returning about 15% per year. If you are interested investment in US. I recommend their services, this is my first US investment and very happy with the outcome.
