I have been told that the Perth median property price jumped 47% in 1988. I was not told why and hypothesise that this may have been a flow-on effect of the 1987 stockmarket crash. Did the price jump 47% as punters hurt in the stockmarket flocked to the perceived safety of bricks and mortar? What caused such a sudden jump?

Did the tech stock wreck of early 2000 help to kick off the last property boom in the eastern states?

What happens to property after stockmarket crashes in general?

    forwards ever
    backwards never!!
