I will be going into property investment with a friend of mine soon, we are wondering what our options in terms of getting finance are. I am wondering if private lending is worth giving a go and how to go about getting it . any suggestions at all ?

You will probably find the rates for private lending are much higher than normal. Why do you want to go down this path?

If you decide to buy with a friend i would suggest you purchase as Tenants in Common.

As Terry points out why would you go for private finance as a traditional style loan would be just as available and a lot cheaper all round.

And to answer your question terry i was for whatever reason under the assumption that they are more more investor friendly than some institutions [blush2]

If it is a Commecial property i think it would be easier to go for a traditional style loan rather then Private Finance.

Private investors don’t alwlays understand Commercial Lending and tend to be a little LVR shy.
