Then you have two properties working for you plus your income. Next deposit is even easier.

You put candy in front of a child, the child eats it…

You put money in front of a child, the child takes it…

I’m a child in a grown ups body, put $10K (within a credit card) in front of me and I’ll take it and as society bombards me from birth to consume, I shall consume it…

    Does this make me evil?

This makes me human and very much so!

Humans today are being raised by the media in all its forms.

The vast majority of us are not reading hard cover, picture-less books for entertainment anymore…

THIS IS A DIFFERENT WORLD, NOW!

A world where we can’t afford to BE and a world where we “seemingly” can’t afford NOT to BE!

“Image” is the making and breaking of us and if we turn our backs on it we are “freaks”, “nerds”, “weirdo’s” or worse still, “LOSER’S”!

From the computer kid with his latest add-on or game, to the uber babe with her latest “add-on” or “game”, gone are the days of building cubby houses and sewing our own dresses…

When will we learn to educate ourselves against the peril of mass consumerism and in turn teach the future generations how to live with the intimate knowledge that money cant create happiness; the knowledge that simple living creates happiness by keeping us excited about things that aren’t bought or sold…

Steve offers us a FREE virtual kick-start; well, that excites me and that excitement makes me happy and I for one am very grateful for Steve and his team and their generosity and hope to emulate this generosity in my simple life…

I have also received Simon Macks (Mortgage Hunter) article and it simply blew me away! God bless guys like Simon who care enough to go out on a limb and attempt to educate those of us whom are trapped in the consumer wheel. Simon, your care and consideration will change lives for the better, please keep writing!

    “ask and you shall recieve”

    Sincerely, Jarrah

Kick start – So far so good. Good on you Steve for actually giving out free tips that are actually valuable. I’m trying to keep up!

Download – I have dialup. I hit the download and then went and watched ‘Lost’ (sad I know) and then watched the video. No Problem.

Debt Reduction – There is a fantastic book which for the life of me I can’t recall it’s title but, it said pay off the lowest debt first. then take that amount of payment and add it to the payment of the next lowest, and so on. Excellent. Anyone know it?
We are all at different stages but we all have to start somewhere. At least we are trying to move in the right direction.

Yes Thankyou Steve for the “virtual kickstart “.
This site is educational and filled with many great friends now.

Over the last few days I have noticed how each of us has suggested something to help others.
The more I learn the more I can help.

So I just thought that giving credit where credit is due and thanking Steve and his team for this fantastic site.

My children’s school motto is T.E.A.M.
    Together Everyone Achieves More.
I can’t think of a better way of describing this site.
    Thanks Steve and gang.

    Hey voigtstr,

We’re a bit in the same boat with needing to clear some personal debt, but everything else tied up in paying back our new business.

I hope you were able to benefit from Simon’s fantastic advice. We’ve already changed our approach according to his suggestions and it’s a great feeling to be already have one cc almost paid off and be motivated by that ‘success’ in tackling the bigger debts.

I think having the right attitude is the biggest challenge of all when starting out on the investment track and my eyes have been seriously opened in the last few months (I nearly died when a 21yo workmate told me they were borrowing 35k for a new car – stop, stop, stop!!!!). Still, I had to search this out myself and wouldn’t be told, either!!! [tongue]

Thanks heaps to Simon (Mortgage Hunter) for being so generous with his great advice, as well as to Jarrah who inspires us newbies with his own positive and quirky outlook! I’m really glad I invested in Steve’s recent Masterclass and came across this site – it’s changed the course of my life already!

The only advice I’ll pass on is to make sure you still enjoy the present whilst working towards your future goals![biggrin]

    Hi Barbara,

you may have missed the boat on the Virtual Kickstart program (possibly one the admin guys can confirm) but it’s a series of emails with resources provide by Steve. Mainly downloading info of DVD’s of Steve presenting his advice, very valuable stuff. The “homework” people mention is about completing the templates that accompany the DVD’s, in the last instance the viability of a purchase made by Steve and Dave. We’re yet to receive the answers so we’re all keen to see if we were right!

If it’s not too late I definitely recommend signing up, otherwise keep your eye out for the next course..

    Cheers
    Mike

    Hi MM,

I asked that very question on another thread, seems I’m not the only impatient one!

A few people said to expect it on Thursday, but as they say – patience is a virtue.

    Cheers

For those of you who are trying to reduce debt so that you can invest, there’s a great website that I use to help save money on just about everything. It’s called simplesavings.com.au. There’s some free stuff there, but to get all the tips you need to subscribe. I think there’s a special at the moment of $35 to join and 1 year subscription. It’s then about $17 per year to renew the sub. I’ve slashed our household budget and it’s really helping me to direct more of our income to paying off debt.[thumbsupanim]

Well thats what being computer illiterate gets you. I tried 4-5 times to load the video, each time seeing about 1/2 – 3/4 hr. Finally put aside 2 hours and sat through whole thing. Didn’t realise there was anything else going on. What should I have clicked, the picture of the DVD? I would really have like to go in this, but obviously too late. I had sat through the whole reno project on the apartments as well but have now wiped the whole thing so cant rerun and find the rest of it.
