    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any rule of thumb type mesaurements regarding land size per unit when talking subdivision. Obviously there are many contributing factors to this such as unit size, etc, however it would be handy to know whether there are any guidelines that are used when evaluating deals.

For example, if I’m looking at a block of say 1200 m2, can I use any predetermined measurement to say that I can, at a guess, fit 3 units on that block?

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Dave.

Are you referring to Land Subdivision or constructions of Units on the block?

What State and Council are we referring to as they will all differ?

    Hi Richard,

    I suppose both:

    1. Say I have an existing house on a block and want to subdivide the block such that the existing house is on one block and there is a second block capable of sale or building of a seperate property.

    2. Say I have a vacant block and wish to build units on that block.

Obviously the details for each councils will change, for the sake of the excercise, lets say its in the Moreland council.

    Thanks

    Dave.
