    Hi,
I signed a Lease and Managing Authority (in VIC) for an agent to find a tenant and then manage my 2 commercial suites.

The tenant has been found which is great so they get a commission on that, however the principal then said “Im not sure if it is worth my time managing these suites”.

My initial response was “But we have an agreement!”.

However Im wondering how binding is this agreements. Since the principal said this to me, Im thinking maybe I should find another agent who is interested in managing it. Otherwise ill have trouble further on.

(side note – love to manage myself but these are my first CPs and also covered by the retail leases act thingo! – need to learn from someone)

Do they need to release themselves from the agreement, or based on their verbal statement can I do something?

    Thanks
    Mat

You owuld have to read your contract to see how binding it is. But if the other party is not happy, then you could possibly both agree to end it.
