I keep getting asked this question…so here would be my typical day:
1. Wake up around 8.00am…mozy on down to my local gym/pool and do a hour/1.5hr session… 2. Get home around 10ish, have breky and check my shares.. 3. Do a bit of gardening, go for a swim in my pool, or go and get a massage, depending on how I feel that particular day. 4. Lunch out with mates…. 5. Get on my Ducati and do a nice 2 hour ride in the afternoon, play with my future kids who I just picked up from private school (who I can finally really "afford"), coach little athletics, donate my time, etc. 6. Prepare dinner, or eat out and go and watch a movie.. 7. Day's over….nice and cosy…
repeat times 1,000,000 OR…take a trip now and again…Tasmania, New Zealand, Europe occasionally, Bali, list goes on…this is my ideal…
Handy Andy, that sounds good but you forgot to mention your son waking you at 2.00am because he wet the bed, your daughter waking you at 7.00am because she can't find her favourite socks, and wife waking you at 7.30am because the toilet won't stop dripping. LOL
Wow to your great efforts Redwing! I said I would re post when I hit the 1 mill mark, last post on hear we were on $850k but now $1.1 mill value!! Not sure I can catch up to you redwing, but I am going to make the effort and re set some goals!
Looks like Redwing had said a paper value of over $1m back in 2006. Still, that is an amazing achievement. Even better now with over $2.1m. I hope to get there someday. Give myself a good 10 yrs should do it.
It seems like an interesting idea to use income-producing managed funds to pay for the negative cashflow. Could someone explain how that works, tax and cashflow wise.
