Any views from, experts or otherwise, on the future growth prospects of property in these two suburbs would be greatly appreciated. For example, would they simply track the Melbourne market, underperform it or outperform it?

    Hi Marco,

I’ll post the average growth in median price over 10 years for you tomorrow. I have the info just no with me. I suspect that they have outperformed the average and expect they will continue to do so.

Brunswick should perform better than Coburg which still has some “stigma” attached to it.

Of course not all properties in thos esuburbs will do well, but I know from our property management department that apartments in Brunswick rent well and rents are increasing

Sorry for the delay Marco, but hear goes.

10 year growth in Median prices:

    Brunswick
    Houses 11.0%, Unit/Apartments 12.2%

    Coburg
    Houses 11.5%, Unit/Apartments 12.5%

I agree with Michael re his preference for Brunswick, depite the slightly lower historical growth rate.

    Regards
