hi everyone,
i have been considering purchasing a older house in an improving suburb (both price and reputation) in which a number of triplex sites have recently been sold. my goal would be to do some basic, general improvements on the house in order to increase the rental yeild with the aim of subdividing and developing some years down the track.
ultimately i would like to sell one or two of the townhouses in order to leave myself with some positive cashflow properties.
i would love to receive any comments on this strategy, both for and against and any personal experiences people have had with similar strategies.
