Does anyone know what the definition of Quartile is?
API magazine us this term on there Median house/unit prices listings at the back of the magazine. Some of the applications used are: House Quartiles; Upper Quartile; Lower Quartile…
I have looked through two dictionaries and unable to locate a definition.

It simply means “by quarter” – so if they are talking upper quartile, they are referring to the top 25%
