We are building an IP that will hopefully just about be finished on Christmas is this a good or bad time to be trying to get a tenant in? I would have preferred to show the house finished & looking its best but if the timing is bad maybe I should look for a tenant before it is finished so that they can be installed prior to Christmas. What does everyone think?

In regards to xmas commercialisation. The Japanese who mainly follow a mixture of shinto and budhism spend a hell of a lot of money on xmas presents.C2

Christmas is a great time to buy, you can pick up some great deals.
There are always those people that have tried to sell during the Spring without success and the closer it get to Christmas (as things slow down), the more likely they are to accept an offer that 2 months earlier they would have knocked back without a second thought. It becomes a great bargaining tool also, if you are ready to go with finances etc and can offer them a short settlement that will squeeze it in before the Christmas break.Mal
