    Hi everyone,
It may be my stupid computer but the last week I have tried to research things ie offset….and the screen turns to:

    /search/beta2 error ‘80004005’

No Deserializer found to deserialize a ‘:key’ using encoding style ‘http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/’.

    /search.asp, line 53

Up until a week ago,I was getting the correct search thread answers,,
    What’s wrong??Only me?
p.s. I aways log on when coming on this site

If it’s just my computer, any ideas?
    thanks,
    Ruth

No, it’s not just you, rumin- I have the same problem.
I think I’ll let the administrator know as well because it has been like this for weeks.
Hehe I always tend to wait till things get fixed by themselves, miraculously… [biggrin]

Hi again ,BTW does anyone else find the search function even when it was working bought back unrelated and difficult to see at a glance -data??
The search function at somersoft if great it comes back with clear, relevant threads all in perfect order everytime…
[blink]Sorry PI.com but if the search function is to be fixed maybe it can be made much better!!?!!

Whilst I try to get through all daily posts… for certain topix ie CGT,the search function has been invaluable[inlove]

    Just a thought…

Hi Rumin, thanks for the advice about Somersets search function. Now that you have written about it a few times maybe you should just start a thread listing it’s functions and then you won’t need to keep repeating your self and others wont have to read the same messages over again.

    Hi Rumin,
No need to say sorry you didn’t do anything wrong. I normally type in a few words and then go for exact phrase. For example if you are interested in hybrid trusts then type in hybrid trusts and not just trusts. I hope this helps you out

Celivia ?Did you contact the moderator? The search function still isn’t working and I went to email in the tech difficulties section AND that function isn’t working either??
I really like the search function and I think it helps newbees not ask too many Qs that have already perfect answers…I hope it’ll be up and running soon

Here’s a tip for you all.

Google search has a feature that enables you to restrict your search to a particular site. Go to google.com and enter the following into the search field and click on search:

    brisbane site:propertyinvesting.com

This will return pages found only in the propertyinvesting.com that contain the word “brisbane”.

This is a handy tip for searching any website that has a poor/broken search utility. Use Google!

Yes Rumin, I have also contacted the tech people, and got the same reply as you did.

Thanks, Phefford, for your great tip![thumbsupanim]
