Having recently been on a trip around Queensland I noticed a block of land which has planning permission to build apartments on. Coming from the UK, I believe the building trade in ‘Blighty’ has a “rule of thumb” to determine a rough cost per SQM for a development on a site. Can anyone tell me if anything similar to this guide exists in Australia?
If not, does anyone know how to determine an approximate price for constructing a block of apartments? A very general question I know, I’m just trying to build my knowledge of the Australian market.
