We have recently bought a 2 acre block that backs onto a creek on the gold coast. About 10 weeks ago we had flooding (the worst in 6 years apparently) and the back part of our property flooded. Way away from the house. Our problem is the neighbours behind us have dumped a huge amount (about 40 truck loads) of fill at the back of their block on the other side of creek. There was only a little dirt there during the last flood, and it changed the course of the creek and ate a cavity behind our fence. If it floods again, our house could be flooded as they have created a dam wall in effect. Council is taking ages to make a move and dirt is dumped every day.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
