Which insurance companies have mortgage protection insurance policies?
I have heard bad stories about CGU and wondered if there was any other options.
I know there are only two mort insurance companies in australia of which CGU is one, sorry I dont know the other ones name. Most banks use one or the other, not usually both.
sorry i may have misread that, did you mean LMI (lenders mortgage Insurance) or personal mortgage protection in case of death or disablement?

Personal mortgage proptection in case of illness, death, disablement and unable to pay type insurance.
The question arose from someone who had a really bad experience with CGU and wanted to know if there was an alternative.

I have just gone down that track and I found a web site wwww.comeguard.com.au. It has an online quote and they email you back with the details.
The info that was emailed gave me comparisons of 3 different insurers.
Another plus is that Protection tax is a tax deduction! [biggrin]
