Can I set up a private Property Trust Fund similar to a unit trust. The trust is for buying residential properties. Do I need to fulfill any requirements required by any government authorities? Can foreigners also invest in it? Any advise anyone? Thanks.

If you are going to try to attract investors then you will need a prospectus (I think if it is more than 20 people). ASIC monitors this sort of thing.

I beleive foreigners could invest in such a trust.

Definetly worth looking into as a “Group Investment” if thats what you want..

Melbear gave me some info on UNIT Trusts ages ago.. I concur with the advice on over 20+ Investors in the group.

Aceyducey knows a lot about this structure as well and a good accountant should be able to set you on the right path..
