The $5000 bonus for vic first home buyers (on top of existing $7000 FHOG) ends on june 30th. (correct me if i’m wrong.)
Do you guys think there will be any change to lower and/or median house prices. Melbourne or Rural?
This $5000 bonus geared at 95% LVR has been an extra $100,000 for first home buyers to spend. (give or take LMI).
Thoughts?? [biggrin]

Prices have dropped plenty already. I can’t see much impact of the loss of $5,000.
In any case, the FHOG is not geared at any LVR. First Home Buyers cane borrow at 100% LVR or more. It all comes down to serviceability.
