This isn’t owning property directly, but:
Does anyone know a lender who will accept units in an unlisted property trust (whose asset is a shoppings centre).
There is plenty of net asset value over and above what I will be paying for the units which can be used as security.
You need to look at margin lending for those units in a trust or use other equity in a property you already hold.
