All Topics / Opinionated! / How to find investments
Hi everyone
I’m very new to all of this and was wondering how you search the internet to find great deals. Do you just go through properties one by one? Surely there are better ways?
Thanks
SoniaNo, a good way is to focus in on an area where you beleive would be good for investing, then decide what type of property you’d go for, like a house, unit, duplex etc. and then go through each one.
You’re not the only one diligently searching for investments. Besides would you spend 100 hours looking for a property on the net to make $100 000?
Good Luck…G7

Depending on where and how you search on the internet will determine your success.

Mortgage AdviserHi Sonia Ellem, firstly welcome to the forums, i am sure you will find this place to be a very valuable resource [wink2]
Im sure by this stage you will have an idea approximately what sort of place and how much you are looking to invest in, have a general look around at different places to get a feel for what the market is doing in that region. The online websites like realestate.com etc is a great place to start, eventually you will want to start making relationships with real estate agents who will get you the good deals if you find the right ones

http://www.plproperty.com.auHi Sonia and welcome to the forum.
I would agree with g7’s advice. It’s a bit like the more you know, the more you realize there is to know. Good luck!
Kind regards,
Gatsby.Heya Sonia,
I would suggest only a small %age of the best deals are on the internet. I’d suggest you talk and walk and ask heaps…
Properties are usually bought and sold (if you are conducting the correct amount of Due Diligence) based on alot of details.
You’d be surprised how much detailed info simply isn’t online, due to old archives / no one has the time or inclination to put it online / agents not bothered to put all the details online…teasers etc.
Personally, I’d never purchase a property without walking extensively all over it so I can see and feel every nook and cranny.
Cheers,
