I have no expereince or knowledge on insuring them so I am hoping someone can put point me in the right direction and inform me of what type of insurance to ask for/get do you get a rental policy ? Do you do a fixed price replacement or square metereage replacement ? What companies offer the most comprahensive cover ?? for events and disasters ? Any companies better than others ?
    Are thye Australian friendly
Any info much appreciated I go to settlement this Friday (4days away) and I need to solve this for me. Thank You

Stoneman Financial Services in Wanganui are my insurance brokers. I am sure that if you call them and talk to Bradley Sturzaker the broker there, by the end of the call you will be sorted out! I was! I am with NZI for some properties and Tower for others.

The other thing is just to ask your bank, I am with one of the major banks in NZ and offer insurance too just through your regular banking contact, the one I have got is a sort of combo between comprehensive and landlord’s insurance

    Good luck

    cheers-
    Mini

    Hi,

We have obtained insurance through the national bank nz and after getting many quotes their price was competitive. They offer replacement value on the building as well as landlords fixtures and fittings. Probably a very good idea to get seperate landlords insurance.
    .
    Good Luck.

    Mini, SeaFire,

Bradley is no longer with Stoneman Financial Services. Have a word to Ron or Mark Stoneman or even Kelly at reception.

They are always more than helpful and should be able to fix you up without any issues.

    Cheers,

    Hi Kiwiduvet,

Nice work with the national bank. Must admit we missed out on that one. Extra cash flow would have come in handy.

    Good Luck
