Wanting to know if I buy a property focusing primarily on capital growth if the rent doesn’t cover all outgoings and I have to put some of my own money into the property each week isn’t that classed as negative gearing???

Thanks in advance for your help on this question.

    Hi ss2306,

    That sounds correct.

The opposite of course is a property which is positive cash flow (+CF)[biggrin]
    Regards,
