Not sure if anyone has posted this but as of yesterday Westpac increased its maximum interest rate discount for its professional package (call Premier Advantage). They will offer a discount of 0.70% off standard rates for clients with more than $500,000 of borrowings.

This offer is only available to new clients or new lending (not existing loans).

That brings its current variable rates down to:

    Premium Home Loan = 6.37%
    Investment Property Loan = 6.47%
    Equity Access (LOC) = 6.52%

    The Westpac professional package includes:

    – Interest rate discounts for the life of the loan. Discounts are based on total lending with the bank.
    – Free loan renegotiations (e.g. increase borrowing limit, switch from variable to fixed, etc.).
    – Apply for unlimited additional mortgages without paying any application fees.
    – No loan monthly fees.
    – No annual fee on a Westpac gold credit card.
    – No monthly fees on a transaction account.
    – Insurance discounts.
    – The annual fee for this package is $300

    Cheers

    Hi Stu,

Does this bring them in line with CBA? I can’t remember if their 0.7% discount applies at 500k or $1M.

CBA may do 0.70% off if lending is over $750,000.

They match CBA in the home loan stakes but Westpac’s rates are higher for investment and LOC.

    Cheers
