Is there a web-site or a method to easily establish the identity of a council for a given address? (Not those currently being sold which would have reference in the vendor’s statement regarding the council)

The method i use is the humble Melway. Each page has the deignated council logo spread across, or the name in Red writing, thoroughout that suburb.is this what you are after?
