    Hello everyone,

This is the first time that I ever posted anything on anywhere on the net. I have been reading and following the advise of everyone else in this forum since I joined in this site.

Little background on me. I have been investing in property for approximately 3 years now with a great deal of success. They all have been very profitable[biggrin]. I have adopted a negative gearing approach on buy, hold and sell high.It took very little of my time and resources. Risk? I thought non of it at the time. To make the story short:

    I GOT VERY LUCKY[blush2]!!!

Now that the madness of property buying on heavily gearing are beginning to subside and everyone stopping to breath, I intend to change over to Positive Gearing and actually spend time on knowing how to read my bank statement, council rate statement, learn how to use a calculator etc.

    [green]Now I’ll be INVESTOR[green][buz2].

Im into my first deal. Can anyone assist me with a step by step guide on how to move/transport a house unto a new location. Detailing also all the things that I have to factor in with regards to permits, proper authority to approach as well as time frame.

Sorry about the long winded huuu haa. Did’nt mean to be a pain[blush2]. Just need a bit of help

    THANX

    Hi Lalonga

I would try contacting your local council in the area and ask them as they should be able to give you the majority of information.

Depending on the location, there might be other factors to consider such as landscaping etc as well.

    Hi Lalonga,

Try looking in the yellow pages (for the area local to your block of land – cheaper if you don’t move the house too far) under “House Relocation Services”

The local council will also have a lot of info about getting the development approval. I think you will find that they will require you to get your owner builders license (if you intend to live in the house) or have a licensed builder on your team (if you are doing it purely as an investment to either sell or rent out).

    Kind Regards,
    Sonja

    lalonga,

I also recall that one or two websites of home relocation companies in QLD had fairly detailed descriptions of this process, checklists etc. I think I found them through the online yellow pages at the time.

    Regards,
    Mick
