All Topics / General Property / Investing Interstate
Hi,
I’m thinking of buying interstate. Apart from tax and landlord laws differences, is there anything else I should look out for. For example: Do I need to find another conveyenser in that state, or can I use the one I use in my state? Thanks, and have a great new year!
Unless your solicitor/conveyancer regularly does conveyancing in the state you wish to purchase I’d use someone in the state I was purchasing in.
Hi Arthur
there are differences between the states with the law and process of property transfers, i agree with crj you Must use a local person to do the transfers, when i’ve purchased interstate my Victorian conveyancer didn’t want to touch anything from another state.

I live in New Zealand and for a fee find cash positive deals there, email me at [email protected] to join our database
Or find a National firm who can undertake the work in all States for you.
