All Topics / Legal & Accounting / Land Tax on PPOR to be tenanted for 3 yrs
Hi,
We are seeking advice on the Land Tax implications of renting out our PPOR in Sydney over a 3 year period starting in Feb 2005.
We are moving to Melbourne for the 3 years on transfer and have been advised by friends that we will become liable for Land Tax if the property is rented out as at the 31st December in any one year if it has been tenanted for a period of 6 months or more??
Does anyone have prior experience with a situation like ours?
Please advise, or else a good source of info on the topic?
